2020 – PRESENT
I climbed the nearest mountain peak and looked far. A labyrinth of timelines appeared, crossing and intersecting, reversing, continuously starting and stopping, but all heading in the same direction. I mumbled an incantation, “Veils asunder,” and headed back down the mountain and into the labyrinth.
Driving out toward the infinite light of the horizon I had seen from the peak, I found myself in a town collapsed into slumber, slowly dissolving…
Inspired by the Heart Sutra, I’m looking at a world where the veil of the present is falling apart and the mythic, eternal, true base from which all change occurs seeps through.
